Terms of Service
By accessing or using any BandStand service, creating an account, viewing or submitting content, participating in an event, or purchasing content or services, you agree to these Terms.
1. BandStand Media
The Services are operated by BandStand Media.
References to “BandStand,” “BandStand Media,” “BandStand TV,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refer to BandStand Media.

2. Services Covered
These Terms apply to BandStand services including:
- BandStandMedia.org and other BandStand websites;
- the BandStand application;
- BandStand TV;
- Schedule Breaker;
- livestreaming and live rooms;
- virtual battles and competitions;
- virtual camps, clinics, lessons, and classes;
- audition tools and video communication;
- band director and auxiliary coach tools;
- creator profiles and monetization tools;
- comments, messages, posts, feeds, and profiles;
- subscriptions and paid content;
- pay-per-view programming;
- digital gifts;
- BandStand-hosted programming and events.
3. Eligibility and Age Requirements
Users must provide accurate age information where requested. Users may not misrepresent their age or circumvent BandStand age restrictions.
If BandStand becomes aware that information has been provided by a child in violation of applicable requirements, BandStand may restrict or delete the account and associated information.
Minor users are subject to additional safety and communication restrictions.
4. Youth Safety
BandStand may restrict who may privately communicate with, audition, contact, or otherwise interact with minor users.
Adult users may not circumvent BandStand youth-safety protections.
Grooming, exploitation, sexual communication involving minors, solicitation, inappropriate adult-minor contact, or attempts to move prohibited communications off BandStand are prohibited.
Serious youth-safety violations may result in immediate and permanent removal and may be reported to appropriate authorities when legally required or reasonably necessary for safety.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for activity occurring through your account and for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
You may not:
- impersonate another person or organization;
- use another user's account without authorization;
- provide materially false account information;
- sell or transfer an account without permission;
- create accounts for fraudulent or abusive purposes;
- create another account to evade enforcement.
6. Professional and Verified Roles
Certain BandStand roles may require verification or approval.
These may include:
- Head Band Director;
- College or University Band Director;
- College or University Professor;
- College Creator;
- other designated professional roles.
BandStand may request information reasonably necessary to verify a user's affiliation or professional role.
7. User Content
User Content includes videos, livestreams, photographs, performances, music, audio, comments, messages, text, recordings, graphics, arrangements, choreography, profile information, and other materials submitted to BandStand.
Users retain ownership of rights they hold in their User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant BandStand Media a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, distribute, format, adapt, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, promote, secure, and improve BandStand services.
You represent that you possess the rights and permissions necessary to submit and use your content through BandStand.
8. Music and Copyright
Marching-band and auxiliary content may involve rights in musical compositions, arrangements, recordings, performances, video, choreography, photographs, trademarks, and other intellectual property.
Uploading or livestreaming content through BandStand does not independently grant permission to use copyrighted material belonging to another party.
Users are responsible for obtaining licenses, permissions, clearances, releases, and approvals required for content they upload, perform, distribute, or monetize.
BandStand may mute, restrict, disable monetization of, block, or remove material in response to copyright or other rights concerns.
9. Copyright Complaints
Copyright owners or their authorized representatives may send claims concerning allegedly infringing BandStand content to:
BandStand may remove or restrict access to allegedly infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
10. Livestreaming
Users who livestream are responsible for their broadcasts and for complying with applicable laws, school policies, venue requirements, intellectual-property obligations, and permissions.
BandStand may terminate or restrict a broadcast that violates these Terms or creates legal, safety, or platform-integrity concerns.
11. Schedule Breaker, Battles and Competitions
BandStand may host or facilitate Schedule Breaker events, virtual battles, showcases, challenges, rankings, competitions, and related programming.
Individual events may have separate scoring criteria, participation rules, deadlines, judging processes, revenue arrangements, or eligibility requirements.
Event-specific rules supplement these Terms.
12. Virtual Camps, Classes and Lessons
BandStand may allow qualified users to provide virtual camps, clinics, classes, lessons, instruction, arrangements, or other educational services.
Instructors and participants are responsible for complying with applicable school, professional, safety, licensing, and youth-protection requirements.
13. Purchases and Paid Content
BandStand may offer subscriptions, paid livestreams, pay-per-view events, premium programming, classes, virtual experiences, digital content, gifts, and other paid services.
Material pricing and billing terms will be displayed before purchase.
Where recurring subscriptions are offered, billing frequency, renewal terms, price, and available cancellation procedures will be presented as required by applicable law.
Applicable taxes may be added.
14. Monetization and Creator Earnings
Eligible creators, schools, bands, coaches, directors, or organizations may be permitted to earn revenue through BandStand monetization features.
These may include paid streams, events, digital content, classes, gifts, subscriptions, performances, or other monetization programs.
Specific revenue-sharing arrangements may be governed by separate creator, program, competition, event, or institutional agreements.
BandStand may delay, withhold, investigate, or reverse payments where reasonably necessary because of fraud, chargebacks, disputes, violations, legal requirements, or payment-processing issues.
15. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not use BandStand to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, bully, or intimidate others;
- exploit or endanger minors;
- distribute illegal sexual or exploitative material;
- engage in fraud or deceptive activity;
- impersonate a person, school, band, or organization;
- infringe intellectual-property rights;
- upload malware or malicious software;
- gain unauthorized access to BandStand systems;
- manipulate engagement, votes, contests, or payments;
- circumvent safety, moderation, access, or payment controls;
- use BandStand for illegal transactions;
- create credible threats to another person's safety.
16. Community Standards
BandStand may moderate, restrict, remove, or disable access to accounts and content that violate these Terms or applicable BandStand policies.
Excessive abusive profanity, prohibited nudity or sexual content, harassment, threats, exploitation, fraud, or repeated violations may result in suspension or permanent removal.
Serious violations may result in immediate permanent removal.
17. Reporting
Users may report content, communications, accounts, livestreams, or behavior through available BandStand reporting tools or by contacting BandStand Media.
Knowingly submitting false reports or abusing reporting systems is prohibited.
18. Schools and Organizations
The presence of a school, college, university, marching band, auxiliary unit, or organization on BandStand does not by itself mean BandStand Media officially represents or is affiliated with that organization.
Directors, coaches, administrators, and other representatives are responsible for ensuring that their participation complies with institutional policies and required permissions.
19. BandStand TV
BandStand TV may provide live and on-demand performances, competitions, original programming, interviews, events, pay-per-view content, premium programming, and subscription content.
Availability may differ based on device, territory, licensing, subscription status, event restrictions, or technical requirements.
Users may not record, rebroadcast, reproduce, redistribute, publicly exhibit, sell, or commercially exploit BandStand TV programming unless expressly authorized.
20. Third-Party Services
BandStand may use third-party providers for payment processing, streaming, communications, authentication, cloud hosting, analytics, app distribution, and other technical services.
Certain third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
21. Platform Availability
BandStand does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to every Service or feature.
Features may be added, changed, restricted, suspended, or discontinued.
22. Suspension and Termination
BandStand Media may restrict, suspend, or terminate access because of:
- violations of these Terms;
- fraud or abuse;
- youth-safety concerns;
- copyright or intellectual-property complaints;
- payment disputes or chargebacks;
- legal requirements;
- attempts to evade previous enforcement.
23. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BANDSTAND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
BANDSTAND MEDIA DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT SERVICES WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
24. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BANDSTAND MEDIA AND ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICES.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to every user.
25. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BandStand Media and its affiliates from claims arising from their User Content, unlawful use of BandStand, infringement of third-party rights, or violation of these Terms.
26. Changes to the Terms
BandStand Media may update these Terms as the platform evolves.
Material changes may be communicated through BandStand, BandStand TV, the BandStand Media website, email, or another reasonable notice method.
Continued use of the Services after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

28. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with BandStand's Privacy Policy, community standards, youth-safety rules, event rules, monetization terms, creator agreements, and other policies incorporated by reference, govern use of the applicable BandStand Services.
